April 23rd - Everyone (except non-Christian) children visited the church to celebrate St george's day with Reverend Hugh.
The children who are not Christian stayed in school and had fun in the hall with the parachute and balls.

Then at lunchtime a special St George's day dinner was served. This was extremely popular. Our Brownies, Cubs and Beavers all came in their "uniforms".

Year 2 are looking at the Great Fire of London. Today firefighters visited from the Kempston Fire Brigade.
They come out to see Year 2 children every year. One or two lucky children get to dress up too.

We were very lucky to send two teams of Year 4 children to the recent Tag Rugby Festival held at Ampthill Rugby Club. Fourteen schools from the Redborne Schools Partnership took part on 26th February.
All of the children played brilliantly throughout the day. The sun shone, the wind blew hard at times, the ground was very muddy but great sportsmanship was very evident and all the children enjoyed the experience. A number of parents came along to support the teams and give much needed encouragement.
Although one of our teams was not very successful in terms of winning matches the other team came second in their group and went into the semi final. Unfortunately they lost to Russell Lower School at this stage. A most enjoyable day and an experience to be remembered.![]()
Key Stage 2 recently made pizzas and the smells were heavenly!
